At Star Valley Ranch, our focus is quality, not quantity. Our limited numbers allow us to focus on reining sires with offspring earnings in excess of 1 million dollars. Breeding our exceptional, performing mares to the industry's leading stallions best ensures the chance that Star Valley foals will become competitive, money earning performance horses.
Our ranch is designed so that all of our horses spend as much time in pasture as possible to develop mentally, socially and physically. Mares and foals spend their day grazing on irrigated pasture. They are led in and out of the barn every day as we move them to and from their fields. This ensures our foals are well mannered to lead and also accustomed to sounds such as trains and farm machinery.

We believe nutrition is especially important for mares and growing foals. We feed only high quality Klamath hay as well as supplements developed especially for broodmares and foals. We work closely with our veterinarian, Dr. Bill Bridges, to make sure each of our mares and foals is receiving optimal nutrition to promote a long and productive life.
Regular hoof care is an important part of the health care routine for all horses, starting when they are young foals. Our experienced farrier works with each foal from birth forward in order to produce a strong foundation for each foal's future reining career.
Star Valley Ranch is excited about the exceptional prospects we offer each year. We invite you to visit the ranch and see these young horses in person.
